  • Panthers' Reilly Smith: Gets goal in big win over Chicago

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(3/26/17) Smith scored a goal Saturday in a 7-0 win over Chicago.

Smith has started to pick up the pace a bit lately and has five points in his last 10 games. It's his 13th goal of the season.

Panthers' Reilly Smith: Notches two helpers against Flames

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(2/25/17) Smith recorded two assists -- one on the power play -- during Friday's loss to Calgary.

With the Panthers back at full health, Smith has slotted in with Vincent Trocheck and Jussi Jokinen at five-on-five again, and the offensive results are back. Smith has a goal and seven assists through his past nine games, and he checks out as a serviceable fantasy asset going forward. Don't forget the 25-year-old winger posted a 25-goal, 50 points campaign last year, so there is ample upside for a strong finish to the year.

Panthers' Reilly Smith: Helps out on game-winner

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(2/21/17) Smith assisted on the game-winning goal against St. Louis on Monday.

Smith had a solid three-year stretch with 58 goals and 141 points leading into 2016-17, including a 25-goal, 25-assist campaign last season. He's been an offensive afterthought this year, though, as the 25-year-old winger has just 10 goals and 25 points through 56 games. Still, it wouldn't be overly surprising if Smith finished the season strong. Florida is now fully healthy and has won five consecutive games, and Smith is locked into a top-six role with power-play looks on the No. 2 unit.

Panthers' Reilly Smith: Having lackluster campaign

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(1/25/17) Smith has managed just nine goals and 19 points in 47 games this season. He's also skated to a minus-11.

Smith hasn't exactly entered his prime in his age-25 season, as he's currently on pace for just 33 points after his 25-goal, 50-point, plus-19 debut effort in South Florida last year. It's not for a lack of ice time (19:16, which is more than 2015-16) or opportunity (2:42 on the power play), and is probably more of a byproduct of the Panthers' struggles as a whole that cost head coach Gerard Gallant his job back in November.

Panthers' Reilly Smith: Plays big minutes, notches helper in return

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(1/1/17) Smith picked up a power-play assist and four shots on goal in his return from a two-game absence Saturday against the Stars.

He also blocked a season-high four shots while skating 19:20, so Smith didn't miss a step after sitting out a few days with a concussion. It's been a tough start to the season for the 25-year-old winger, but his track record suggests a hot streak should be on the horizon. Actually, it may be in the works already -- he's got six points (four of those on the power play) in the last seven games.

Smith dished out two assists Thursday in a 3-2 comeback win over Detroit. With the Bruins down 2-0, Smith went to work, picking up the primary assists on Carl Soderberg's goal to make it 2-1 and Loui Eriksson's game-tying tally.
