  • Capitals' Justin Williams: Has goals in three straight games

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(1/20/17) Williams tallied a goal in Washington's 7-3 rout over the Blues.

Since the beginning of December, the 34-year-old winger has been on fire with 14 goals and 22 points along with a plus-11 rating in 24 games. His sluggish start to the season is firmly behind him, and although this goal-scoring outburst may not last, he's back to his old form and a valuable asset in standard and daily formats.

Capitals' Justin Williams: Keeps hot streak going with goal

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(1/17/17) Williams potted a goal in Monday's 8-7 OT loss to the Penguins.

The marker gives him eight goals and 14 points in his last 12 games as the 34-year-old winger has picked up his production following a very sleepy start to the season. The resurgence of Williams and linemate Evgeny Kuznetsov in recent weeks has helped buoy the Caps to nine wins in their last 10 outings. Williams is now on track to return to his 40+ point range fantasy owners have come to expect in recent seasons, so snatch him up if by some chance he's still available.

Capitals' Justin Williams: Posts two goals versus Flyers

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(1/15/17) Williams tallied a pair of goals in a 5-0 victory over the Flyers on Sunday.

The Capitals have won nine in a row, and during that stretch, Williams has been tremendous, scoring six goals and 11 points. However, Williams has actually been hot since Dec. 7, recording 11 goals in the last 19 games. Prior to that, he had two goals in 24 games. Williams may not maintain his current rabid pace, but judging that his hot streak coincides with when he started playing in the top-six again, he should continue to fantasy owners plenty of goals.

Capitals' Justin Williams: Pots goal Wednesday

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(1/12/17) Williams tallied a goal and three shots in Wednesday's 5-2 victory over the Penguins.

After a slow start to the season, the 34-year-old winger has been on fire since mid-December, as he has 10 goals and 18 points in his last 20 games, along with a plus-8 rating. Firing on all cylinders on a line with Evgeny Kuznetsov and Marcus Johansson, the former Conn Smythe Trophy winner is finally producing like the capable top-six winger he has been throughout his career and is worth owning in most formats.

Capitals' Justin Williams: Fills up scoresheet in OT win

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(1/4/17) Williams opened the scoring 1:14 into the first period with a power-play goal, then added two assists, two PIM and a plus-3 rating in Tuesday's 6-5 overtime win against Toronto.

Absolutely brutal to start the year -- four points in the first 23 games -- Williams has quietly come on over the last month. In his last 14 games, the winger's racked up eight goals and 15 points, with a dozen PIM and a plus-5 rounding out his line nicely. The buy-low window's probably closed in deeper formats, but the veteran might be on the wire in shallower leagues after his slow start.

Williams picked up two assists and went plus-4 in Thursday's 8-2 win over Edmonton. With that, he's now reached the 40-point mark in four consecutive non-lockout seasons. Williams has always done his best work in the playoffs, but he'll need to provide a little more production for the Kings at the end of the regular season, as they're battling for their berth.
