McCormick (blood clot in leg) was placed on injured reserve Monday.McCormick was discharged from the hospital Monday after he was placed under evaluation for the clot, but still faces an uncertain recovery timetable. By placing him on IR, the team can open up a roster spot and attempt to cover for his absence.

McCormick (lower body) took part in line rushes during morning skate and looks poised to play Tuesday against the Devils, John Vogl of the Buffalo News reports.It looked like McCormick was on track to sit this one out to take more time to recuperate, but when Drew Stafford left the team to witness the birth of his child, coach Ted Nolan likely changed his plans. McCormick figures to only see limited minutes as a member of the Sabres' fourth line.

McCormick (lower body) is officially a game-time decision for Tuesday's tilt with the Devils.McCormick hasn't been able to take to the ice since Saturday's game, and though he's been feeling better the past couple of days, his health remains something of a question mark. The Sabres will reexamine his situation closer to pregame warmups, and if it's determined he can't go, the team will try to get by with an 11-forward, seven-defenseman lineup.

McCormick is nursing a lower-body injury and isn't expected to play Tuesday, Bill Hoppe of the Olean Times Herald reports.It sounds like McCormick obtained some sort of injury in Saturday's game, as he was barely able to walk Sunday and didn't feel strong enough to practice Monday. He'll retain the day-to-day tag for now, with the Sabres recalling Tim Schaller from AHL Rochester to fill his spot in the lineup.
