The U.S. women's national team came from behind on Sunday in Atlanta, Georgia to defeat the Netherlands in an international friendly, 3-1. The hosts went down just minutes into the game but rallied through superior possession and quality creativity, scoring twice in the second half, including an own goal. Despite not getting near the nine goals they scored last week against Thailand, this was a much more difficult challenge for the Jill Ellis' squad, and they were up to it.

Megan Rapinoe stole the pregame headlines by kneeling during the anthem, which Carli Lloyd called a distraction). Early on, the Americans were caught off guard by an opening goal from the Europeans, as Shanice van de Sanden scored on a counter attack in the second minute.

Trying to battle back, it took the U.S. a little to get going, but then Lloyd scored a beauty in the 35th minute to draw level. Take a look.

An own goal from the Netherlands gave the U.S. the lead 50 minutes in, and Allie Long headed home eight minutes from time to cement the result, as the Americans strung together two wins since that shock exit at the Summer Olympics.

With the win, the U.S. still hasn't lost a match in regulation all year, having played 22 games. The USWNT is now off for a little bit before two friendlies against Switzerland next month.
