Manchester United's start to the season was fantastic, winning the first four matches -- one Community Shield match and three Premier League contests.

Since then, it's been what the British call "rubbish." United has dropped three straight matches, first losing to rival Manchester City at home 2-1, then 1-0 at Feyenoord in the Europa League and finally 3-1 at Watford on Sunday.

But who is to blame? Is it new manager Jose Mourinho? It could maybe be Paul Pogba, who hasn't made much of a positive impact since becoming the world's most expensive signing this summer after arriving from Juventus. Or how about that below average back line?

No, it is supposedly Louis van Gaal's fault. The former Manchester manager, who was replaced by Mourinho over the summer, is being blamed by the current boss, per The Mirror.

The report says Mourinho feels like he is dealing with the LVG "fall out" after just six games and that his players are hindered by the Dutchman's style, having yet to adapt to what Mourinho wants. The report also says he is having to retrain the players to "think for themselves."

Now, that is a bit of a stretch. These players aren't fools, and Mourinho has been there for three months, which is enough time to start seeing some of what he is teaching.

I think this is more about the players being in poor form after starting the season off so well which elevated expectations tremendously. With guys like Pogba, Wayne Rooney and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, there is no excuse not to finish top four and fight for a Champions League spot, but it is going to take time for them to gel. This looks like more of a bump in the road when it comes to form. But the Red Devils have to get it together quick. Leicester and Liverpool are on the schedule over the next month.

United fans, who do you blame?
