Lionel Messi's 'retirement' from the Argentina national team has lasted all of zero games. After calling it quits minutes after Argentina lost to Chile in the 2016 Copa America final, Messi will start on Thursday in the match against Uruguay set for 7:30 p.m. ET, missing zero matches since that announcement.

Messi will be up top alongside Angel Di Maria and surprise inclusion Lucas Pratto in the first match for manager Edgardo Bauza, who replaced Gerardo Martino after this summer's cup failure.

Uruguay currently leads qualifying in South America with 13 points. Argentina is third with 13.
