Manchester City entered the weekend in fifth place in the Premier League, with a chance to move up to second with a win at home against second-place Tottenham in the match of the weekend.

The Citizens, capitalizing on some mistakes from the Spurs, looked well on their way to achieving three points with a 2-0 lead in the second half but conceded twice as the two drew 2-2 with the officials making some questionable calls.

Here's what to know.

Game-changing moment

After Hugo Lloris had two blunders early in the second half that saw Leroy Sane (49') and Kevin De Bruyne (54') convert, Tottenham came storming back. Looking for a bit of confidence, Dele Alli put home Kyle Walker's brilliant cross to cut the lead in half.

But the game-changing moment was Son Heung-Min's equalizer in the 77th minute. He was assisted by Harry Kane, who was offside. The goal shouldn't have counted, but the linesman allowed it. This came after Kyle Walker pushed Raheem Sterling down in the box, which City felt like should have been a penalty. A no-call on both ends turned the tide of this match.

Here's the match-tying goal:

Top performer

Kyle Walker of Tottenham. He delivered that great assist and did just enough to throw Sterling off when it looked like City would take a 3-1 lead. Sure, it could have easily been called a penalty kick. It wasn't, and Walker gets away with it. His performance on both ends, even though it probably should have been called a penalty kick, changed the game.

Worst performer

Lloris of Tottenham. He is one of the world's best goalkeepers, so to see him screw up twice is shocking. The first one was unfortunate as his attempted clearance with his head his Sane and fell to him in front of goal.

But his second? Woof.

What this result means

Tottenham holds on to second place for now while City blows a big chance to jump into the top four. The Citizens trail fourth-place Arsenal by one point with one more match to be played.
