After going nine months without losing, Real Madrid has now lost twice in a week and is on the verge of being eliminated from the Copa del Rey.

Los Blancos lost 2-1 at home to Celta Vigo on Wednesday in the first leg of the quarterfinals and now have to try and respond after surrendering two away goals.

Iago Aspas opened the scoring for Celta 64 minutes in before Marcelo scored five minutes later to draw level with a powerful volley, but the lead lasted just a minute as Jonny scored the winner in the 70th. Take a look at the winner.

After an unbelievable run, there is a growing, over exaggerated concern in Spain after these last two results. A team that always knows how to come back and get results has failed to do so in the last week, but Real fans would be wise to not worry. The 2-1 loss at the weekend against Sevilla featured an unfortunate own goal and a late winner, and on Wednesday Real boasted a fairly weaker squad, with a backup goalie starting, Gareth Bale out injured and Karim Benzema on the bench.

Next, Real Madrid hosts Malaga on Saturday in La Liga. And hey, if they end up getting eliminated after next week's second leg against Celta, at least it won't be as embarrassing as last year.
