Young American soccer star Christian Pulisic may be on the move. The 17-year-old Hershey, Pennsylvania native, currently with German giants Borussia Dortmund, may be headed to England. According to BILD, Stoke City has offered $22.5 million for the midfielder.

The USMNT member hasn't been a starter much at Dortmund, but that is to be expected considering his lack of experience and age. A talented, quick, clinical midfielder, he is at one of the top clubs in Europe at developing players and has a bright future. That is why this potential move doesn't make much sense, but there are other reasons.

1) Pulisic has gotten increased playing time and made 12 appearance for Dortmund last season. He has played well and that playing time should only increase. Why leave and potentially play less? And honestly, he has seen more playing time than many would have thought.

2) He is just 17 years old and is a good prospect, so $22.5 million sounds like way too much money. One might even call that an absurd offer. He is likely worth around $6-7 million at the moment with $10 million considered a high price for him, so you can imagine what more than double is. Remember, Renato Sanches, one of the world's great young talents, went to Bayern Munich for $39 million this summer. And it's safe to say these two players aren't even in the same galaxy.

3) Comfort level. Germany and England aren't the most similar of leagues. How many young talents have we seen head to England and do absolutely nothing, with players like Anderson and Jo coming to mind? Comfortable in Germany and playing well, why potentially move?

If this move does materialize, that would be great business for Dortmund and questionable business for Stoke.

As for Pulisic, it probably wouldn't be the best move in a young, promising career.
