Real Madrid and Portugal superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed who the toughest player to play against is, according to Coach Magazine magazine. And, well, the response will probably shock you.

First, let's go over some of the options.

From his days at Manchester United to his current tenure at Real Madrid, he has played against a number of big names like Carles Puyol, Gerard Pique and John Terry. In the Champions League he has had to face superstars like Paolo Maldini and Giorgio Chiellini.

His choice? Ashley Cole.

"Over the years I had some great battles with Ashley Cole -- he doesn't give you a second to breathe. He was such a tenacious player, quick, tough in the tackle -- when he was at his peak. You knew it would never be an easy game," Ronaldo said.

Cole, who is with the Los Angeles Galaxy, was a really good player in his prime, both for Arsenal and Chelsea. He closed down well, had pace and for the most part was composed. But he was never the best defender around, so that answer from Ronaldo was really, really surprising. But so was this one.
