Luis Suarez has been the best goal scorer in the world this season, and on Saturday he clinched the Pichichi and the Golden Shoe. The Barcelona superstar finished the season as La Liga's top goal scorer with 40 and the top in European domestic leagues after a hat trick in a 3-0 win at Granada, which saw Barca win La Liga, giving him both awards. Suarez entered the day four goals ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo for top scorer.

Ronaldo scored two goals for Real Madrid but to the surprise of many, he was subbed off at the half of Real's game against Deportivo, handing the trophy to the former Liverpool man.

The Pichichi goes to La Liga's top scorer and the Golden Shoe to Europe's top scorer.

Suarez has been in sensational form all season, including scoring four goals in back-to-back matches earlier in the campaign. He's the first player not named Ronaldo or Lionel Messi to win it since Diego Forlan in 2008-09.
