Cristiano Ronaldo has thrown some shade Lionel Messi's way. In a documentary from Four Four Two Ronaldo is asked if winning with Portugal is the same as it would be with nations like Argentina, Germany and Brazil.

Ronaldo guided Portugal to Euro 2016 glory this summer for the nation's first major title. Of course, Ronaldo didn't miss the chance at indirectly dissing Messi, who lost the last two Copa America finals with Argentina.

"Of course it's good when you win Champions League, [La Liga], Golden Ball, Golden Boot, but when you win something for your country, it's completely different," Ronaldo said. "The feeling is different.

"The achievement to win for Portugal is not the same for Argentina or Brazil or Germany ... It's more difficult."

Now, it's hard to tell if dissing Argentina and Messi was done on purpose, but he laughs after saying it, so take it for what you will.

But Ronaldo does have a point. The level of talent on Portugal isn't half of that on Argentina, Germany or Brazil. So winning Euro 2016 and playing the role he did was a marvelous achievement and the biggest moment of his career.

He's not lacking any confidence, and what he said is exactly true.
