With the transfer window open and buzzing, we take a look at some of the transfer rumors and news around the world of soccer, from Major League Soccer to Europe.

Lacazette nearing move to Arsenal

It feels more and more likely that Alexandre Lacazette is about to join Arsenal. The 26-year-old Lyon striker, whose potential move to Atletico Madrid ended with the Spanish team's transfer ban, is days away from joining the Gunners, if you believe the French club's president.

Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulus, speaking to French paper Le Progres, said the deal will happen and is "one or two days" away from being completed. A move is expected to cost over $50 million.

John Terry joins Aston Villa

Chelsea legend John Terry, 36, has joined Championship side Aston Villa. The signing was announced on Monday, and it was done so in a very interesting way. The club tweeted out a video of a fictional and funny chat conversation between chairman Tony Xia, manager Steve Bruce and others. Take a look:

West Ham after Chicharito

West Ham United is trying to sign Mexico international Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez, providing him a return move to the Premier League, according to ESPNFC. The current Bayer Leverkusen striker and former Manchester United man could be the answer up top for the Hammers, who have also been linked with Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud.

The 29-year-old had 26 goals in his first season in Germany but just half of that last season, going 16 matches without a goal, which fueled rumors of a potential departure.

This is a move that makes sense for West Ham, who have lacked a top-tier striker for quite a while. His market value is probably in the $15-$20 million range.

Sampdoria makes Sneijder offer

Linked with Major League Soccer, former Inter Milan star Wesley Sneijder has received an offer from Serie A side Sampdoria, his agent told Tutto Mercato

The Galatasaray man is evaluating his future options, and it still feels like a move to Los Angeles FC would still make sense for him. He's played in Italy, won everything there is to win in Europe, and his career is winding down. But, if he does agree to a move to to LAFC this summer, he wouldn't begin playing until the club officially joins the league next year.
