Christian Pulisic had himself a day he will never forget. The young American won the German Cup on Saturday with Borussia Dortmund, playing a key role. He came on as a second-half substitute and earned a penalty kick that ended up deciding the game.

It was a 2-1 win over Eintracht Frankfurt, which also features U.S. men's national team's Timmy Chandler. Pulisic tried to connect on a ball in the box, and he did, getting by the goalkeeper but was taken down. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang converted the penalty in the 67th minute to seal it.

As a result, he made history, becoming the youngest USMNT player to win a major domestic club trophy in Europe and just the second American to win the DFB Pokal (German Cup).

The first was Thomas Dooley for Kaiserslautern during the 1989-90 season.
