It's been a positive start to the fall for Julian Green. The young American was called up for friendlies against Cuba and New Zealand earlier this month, and he scored in both. He was quick and smart on the ball, and those two goals show what kind of impact he can make and put him in contention for a spot on the squad for the upcoming World Cup Qualifiers, which include a clash against Mexico on Nov. 11.

On Wednesday he made his first start for Bayern Munich since December of last year, and he again had his scoring boots on, grabbing Bayern's second on 41 minutes to take a 2-0 lead over Augsburg in their German Cup clash. Take a look.

What a lovely header, and that was his first competitive goal for the German giants. He finds a bit of space and redirects it into the far side of the goal. What an October it has been for Green, who may be doing enough to push for minutes against Mexico.
