It's Zlatan time in Manchester.

Soccer superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic announced on Twitter on Thursday that he is headed to Manchester United. The 34-year-old striker, who saw his contract at PSG run out this summer, joins new manager Jose Mourinho as the club looks to make its way back to the summit of English and European soccer.

Rumored to be on the MLS radar as well, Ibrahimovic will play for an English club for the first time. The former Malmo, Ajax, Inter Milan, Juventus, Barcelona and AC Milan man became PSG's all-time top scorer in October. He joined the French club in 2012.

At United, he automatically becomes the biggest name and the starter at center forward, and he'll be expected to deliver 20-plus goals this season.

He was coached by Mourinho at Inter Milan almost a decade ago. He was rumored to be in discussion about a coaching role with the team after retiring.

Manchester United has not officially announced the signing.
