Ole newspaper of Argentina reports that Angel Di Maria has been ruled out of the remainder of the World Cup due to a tear in his right thigh.

The injury was suffered in Saturday's quarterfinal win over Belgium. He was taken off in the  33rd minute and replaced by Enzo Perez.

"I hope that it won't be too (bad) in the case of Angel because Angel is vital to us," Argentina manager Alejandro Sabella said following the game, before the extent of the injury was reported.

Argentina will face the Netherlands in a semifinal matchup on Wednesday. They have also been dealing with an injury to striker Sergio Aguero, who did not take part in Saturday's game.
