When all else fails, destroy some inanimate objects.

We've all done it at some point, and apparently so has Serena Williams.

After losing to Garbine Muguruza in the French Open final last weekend, Williams admitted in a video posted by @uninterrupted that she was so disgusted with her performance that she destroyed some of her equipment:

"I was so pissed that I actually abandoned my rackets in France after maybe a few smashes of the racket bag. I felt like if I was going to play that awful and that crappy, that maybe I don't need rackets."

Hmm. She makes it sounds so logical.

The world's top player didn't hold anything back in the video, adding, "I thought I could've played better, I thought I could've competed better, I thought I could've really done everything five times better."

At the conclusion of the video Williams mentions that she's out practicing by herself, because "sometimes when you're by yourself is when the great things really happen."

The 34-year-old is seeking her 22nd career major title, which would tie her with Steffi Graf for the most in the Open era. Her next opportunity will be at Wimbledon, which begins at the end of June.
