Marcus Haynes HOU DE
Marcus Haynes: Hits waiver wire
11h agoHaynes (undisclosed) was waived by the Texans with an injury designation Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Haynes' injury and the severity of it are unknown, but he'll revert to IR once he clears waivers. He'll then either need to reach an injury settlement with the team or be forced to miss all of the 2024 campaign.

Ja'Mion Franklin BAL DT
Ja'Mion Franklin: Gets cut lose
11h agoFranklin (undisclosed) was waived by the Ravens with an injury designation Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Franklin's injury and the severity of it are unknown, but he'll revert to IR once he clears waivers. He'll then either need to reach an injury settlement with the team or be forced to miss all of the 2024 campaign.

Titus Leo IND DE
Colts' Titus Leo: Getting work in
11h agoLeo (undisclosed) participated in OTAs last week.
Leo spent the entirety of his rookie campaign on IR. Now healthy, he'll work to earn a depth role on the Colts' defensive line for 2024.
-
Eric Stokes GB CB
Packers' Eric Stokes: Healthy once again
11h agoStokes (hamstring) has been participating in OTAs this week, Zach Kruse of USA Today reports.
Injuries have hampered Stokes' last two seasons, but the third-year pro is feeling good in preparation for the 2024 campaign. The 25-year-old had the fifth-year option of his rookie option denied earlier in May, but a healthy and successful season could help earn him an extension next offseason.
-
Will Mallory IND TE
Colts' Will Mallory: Back on field
11h agoMallory (hamstring) participated in OTAs last week.
Mallory finished the 2023 campaign sidelined by an injury, but it appears the 2023 fifth-round selection has fully recovered. Although he was able to contribute 18 receptions and 207 yards in 12 regular-season games during his rookie campaign, he faces a crowded tight end room in Indianapolis with the return of Jelani Woods from a Hamstring injury, as well as holdovers Kylen Granson, Mo Alie-Cox and Drew Ogletree.
-
Nico Collins HOU WR
Texans' Nico Collins: Inks three-year extension
12h agoCollins agreed to terms Tuesday on a three-year, $72.75 million contract extension, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Collins is coming off a breakout 2023 season in which he piled up a 80-1,297-8 receiving line on 109 targets (15 games), and even with Stefon Diggs in town on a one-year deal, Collins represents the future for Houston's wide receiver corps, as does second-year pro Tank Dell. While the addition of Diggs crowds the Texans' target distribution, as does the presence of capable pass-catching options like Joe Mixon in the backfield and tight end Dalton Schultz, this significant monetary commitment to Collins provides a bit of extra incentive for offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik to allow Collins and C.J. Stroud to feature the chemistry they demonstrated last season. If Stroud and the Texans can build off 2023 and hit the ground running, Collins should find himself as a frontman in one of the league's elite passing offenses.

Jarrett Stidham DEN QB
Broncos' Jarrett Stidham: Embracing QB competition
13h agoStidham said he's "super excited" to compete with Bo Nix and Zach Wilson for quarterback reps at OTAs and believes he could win the starting job, Jeff Legwold of ESPN reports.
Stidham said he's "very confident that I can be the guy for us next year.'' The 2019 fourth-rounder isn't unaccustomed to such situations, noting that he "dealt with this before" when New England drafted Mac Jones in the first round. Now, Stidham finds himself in the veteran role of an offseason competition, with Nix having been selected 12th overall in April's draft and Wilson still coming along in his development. Coach Sean Payton has made clear that the Broncos are approaching the offseason as a three-way competition for the starting gig, per Legwold.
-
Tua Tagovailoa MIA QB
Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa: Drops weight, awaits extension
4d agoCoach Mike McDaniel said at OTAs that Tagovailoa, who continues to vie for a contract extension beyond his fifth-year option, has dropped between 10 and 15 pounds this offseason, Joe Schad of the Palm Beach Post reports.
Tagovailoa has been an on-and-off participant at OTAs for Miami, but McDaniel made clear that his attendance schedule has been a non-issue. The quarterback added weight last offseason in order to protect himself, and coupled with training to reduce impact taken when falling to the ground, that allowed Tagovailoa to play a full 17-game slate for the first time in his NFL career. It appears that the signal-caller is now putting in the work to get more mobile while keeping the traits that have added to his durability, with McDaniel noting that Tagovailoa is looking "svelte." Both sides will continue negotiations on a multi-year extension, though Alain Poupart of SI.com notes the possibility of Tagovailoa playing out the 2024 season on his fifth-year option can't be entirely dismissed.
-
Bo Nix DEN QB
Broncos' Bo Nix: Part of three-way job battle
5d agoCoach Sean Payton has made it clear Nix, Jarrett Stidham and Zach Wilson are competing for the starting QB job, ESPN.com's Jeff Legwold reports.
Payton said Thursday that Nix is "farther along" than most rookies would be at the same juncture, citing Nix's intelligence and NCAA QB record of 61 starts as likely explanations for his ability to learn the Denver offense quickly. The rookie first-round pick opened Thursday's practice with the starters, but Payton downplayed the significance afterward, mentioning that Stidham got more first-team snaps Tuesday and Wilson took the majority Wednesday. Payton said all three are doing well so far and expressed confidence that the Broncos have a good QB room, though he also used the term "orphan dogs" to describe the trio of Nix, Stidham and Wilson.
-
Daniel Jones NYG QB
Giants' Daniel Jones: Expects to be ready by Week 1
6d agoJones (knee) said Thursday he anticipates starting Week 1, Kevin Patra of NFL.com reports.
Jones has been participating in 7-on-7 drills at OTAs and said "I don't have any doubt about it" when asked whether he'd suit up to take on the Vikings in Week 1. Additionally, he's already shed his knee brace in workouts, and all signs are that his recovery from a right ACL tear is proceeding smoothly. Jones signed a four-year, $160 million extension last offseason, but that may not give him significant job security if he logs an uninspiring 2024 campaign given both his injury history, and his terrible start to the 2023 season. It may not even be out of the realm of possibility that Drew Lock pushes for the Giants' starting gig, should he log a strong offseason.
-
Lamar Jackson BAL QB
Ravens' Lamar Jackson: Drops weight over offseason
6d agoJackson said Wednesday that he dropped weight over the offseason in an effort to be more agile in 2024, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.
Jackson was listed at 215 pounds last season and 225 during the 2022 season. Earlier this month, Jackson indicated he was closer to 205 pounds, but it's unclear if that's his intended playing weight. An even more elusive Jackson would be dangerous to opposing defenses, and adding Derrick Henry and getting Mark Andrews back to full health after his season was derailed by a broken ankle could make the Baltimore offense even more lethal in 2024.
-
Anthony Richardson IND QB
Colts' Anthony Richardson: Takes part in 11-on-11 drills
6d agoRichardson (shoulder) returned to full-squad workouts at OTAs this week and has been throwing in 11-on-11 drills, Kevin Bowen of 107.5 The Fan Indianapolis reports.
Richardson, who turned 22 years old Wednesday, reportedly showed no signs of still being hampered by the right shoulder injury that ended his rookie campaign after just four games. While the Colts won't don full pads at practice until training camp, Richardson looks to be operating without restrictions at this point. The second-year quarterback said the shoulder he had surgery on feels "a little achy," but that the plan is for him to practice in full unless soreness crops up. Barring any serious setbacks, the ultra-athletic Richardson will be a popular breakout candidate for 2024 fantasy drafts.
-
Chris Rodriguez Jr. WAS RB
Commanders' Chris Rodriguez: Likely RB3 for Washington
4d agoWith the Commanders not selecting a running back in last month's draft, Rodriguez profiles as the team's No. 3 option at running back behind Austin Ekeler and Brian Robinson,Ben Standig of The Athletic reports.
Per Standig, Rodriguez, who's presumably past his late-season ankle issue, appears to be the clear early-down backup to Robinson. However, with Ekeler also in the mix and destined to see plenty of touches, notably in passing situations, Rodriguez doesn't initially have a path to steady volume as the 2024 season approaches. As a rookie, the 2023 sixth-rounder recorded 51 carries for 247 yards and two TDs to go along with two catches for 12 yards in 13 regular-season contests. Also currently in the Commanders' depth RB mix are Jeremy McNichols, Austin Jones and Michael Wiley (thumb).
-
La'Mical Perine PIT RB
Steelers' La'Mical Perine: Inks deal with Pittsburgh
5d agoPerine and the Steelers agreed on a one-year contract Thursday.
Perine was waived by Kansas City this past Friday and it took less than a week for him to find a new home in Pittsburgh. The running back compiled 77 rushing yards on 22 carries while also recording three catches for 33 yards over five games with Kansas City in 2023. He'll be in line to operate as a depth option for the Steelers behind Najee Harris and Jaylen Warren if he secures an active roster spot in 2024.
-
Dalvin Cook BAL RB
Dalvin Cook: Hopes for training camp chance
6d agoCook said Thursday he hopes to compete in training camp this offseason with a new team, Kevin Patra of NFL.com reports.
Cook said he wants to participate fully in training camp this offseason to "get my legs back under me and feel like myself again." The veteran back is coming off the worst season of his career by a good margin, but says if given a chance to compete, he believes he'll be able to impress new coaches and teammates. Cook averaged just 3.2 yards per carry across 15 games with the Jets last year, and he made a minimal impact after linking up with Baltimore in the postseason.
-
Travis Etienne JAC RB
Jaguars' Travis Etienne: Workload to decline?
6d agoDoug Pederson said during OTAs that the Jaguars want to lean on Etienne less during the 2024 campaign in order to keep him healthy, Michael DiRocco of ESPN reports.
Pederson said it's "hard to put necessarily a rep count" on Etienne's weekly touches, but that looking ahead to 2024 season the coaching staff is "making sure [Tank Bigsby] gets opportunities to get out there and take some of the pounding off of [Etienne]." As DiRocco notes, Etienne finished 2023 accounting for 76 percent of the running back touches for Jacksonville, a high workload that coincided with a disappointing rookie showing for Bigsby. If either D'Ernest Johnson or Bigsby can emerge as a more consistent backup, fantasy managers shouldn't be surprised if Etienne's total touches do indeed decrease this season. While that would certainly represent a blow to Etienne's fantasy ceiling, the 2021 first-round pick does his damage more with efficiency and speed than grinding out carries between the tackles. Jacksonville picked up Etienne's fifth-year option earlier this offseason, which keeps him under contract through 2025.
-
Patrick Laird TB RB
Patrick Laird: Cut by Tampa Bay
6d agoLaird was waived by the Buccaneers on Wednesday, Brianna Dix of the team's official site reports.
Laird signed a reserve/future contract with the team in January after spending last season on the Bucs' practice squad. The 28-year-old hasn't seen NFL action since 2021 with the Dolphins, but he'll now look to secure another opportunity elsewhere ahead of training camp.
-
Avery Williams ATL RB
Falcons' Avery Williams: Participating in OTAs
7d agoWilliams (knee) participated in OTAs on Tuesday, Tori McElhaney of the Falcons' official site reports.
Williams missed the entire 2023 campaign after tearing in his ACL in an offseason workout, but he looks to have made a full recovery from knee surgery. Since entering the NFL in 2021, Williams has primarily operated as a return man, accumulating 445 punt-return yards and 803 kick-return yards across two seasons. Now that Williams has returned to the field, he's expected to compete for a role on special teams and as a depth option in the backfield.
-
Nico Collins HOU WR
-
Tee Higgins CIN WR
Bengals' Tee Higgins: Not at OTAs, as expected
13h agoHiggins and teammate Ja'Marr Chase are not present at voluntary OTAs on Tuesday, Ben Baby of ESPN reports.
Higgins still hasn't signed the franchise tag Cincinnati placed on him back in February, and with Chase also eligible for an extension, both of the Bengals' top wideouts appear to be vying for new deals. Until Higgins signs the franchise tag, he won't be eligible to report for organized team activities. He formally requested a trade after having the franchise tag placed on him but has since indicated he anticipates suiting up for the Bengals for the 2024 season, and coach Zac Taylor plainly stated that he's not worried about the absence of either Higgins or Chase at this time.
-
Ja'Marr Chase CIN WR
Bengals' Ja'Marr Chase: Absent from OTAs
13h agoChase and teammate Tee Higgins are not present for voluntary OTAs on Tuesday as they continue to negotiate potential contract extensions, Ben Baby of ESPN reports.
Chase hasn't yet participated in voluntary workouts for Cincinnati this offseason, and he's now eligible for a contract extension. The Bengals picked up his fifth-year option. Higgins, meanwhile, has yet to sign his franchise tender after Cincinnati placed the one-year tag on him back in February. Coach Zac Taylor stated that he's not worried about the absence of either wideout, saying "they'll be ready and focused when it's time to come back." For now, though, Joe Burrow (wrist) will be taking reps without either of his top receivers present.
-
Darius Slayton NYG WR
Giants' Darius Slayton: Participating in OTAs
13h agoSlayton (thumb) participated in Tuesday's OTAs practice, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports.
Slayton is working toward a hopeful contract extension with the Giants, but he's on the field for voluntary workouts at OTAs. The 2019 fifth-round pick still appears slated for a starting gig, though rookie first-rounder Malik Nabers should be the top man in this wide receiver corps, with Jalin Hyatt and Wan'Dale Robinson also in the mix. Slayton appears fully healthy after having dealt with a thumb injury down the stretch in 2023.
-
Christian Watson GB WR
Packers' Christian Watson: Feels more confident in hamstring
5d agoAfter undergoing eight hours of testing at the University of Wisconsin's School of Medicine earlier in the offseason, Watson believes he has solved his right hamstring issues that have caused him to miss several games through his first two seasons, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
"For me, it really was the asymmetry between the legs," Watson explained. "It comes from a lot of things. Obviously, the issues I've had in the past with hamstrings, not fully recovering from those strength-wise. I've been attacking the strength side of it, trying to get that symmetry back and it's been huge for me. I feel really, really good. I gotta continue grinding at it." Watson states he had a 20 percent difference in muscle mass between his right and left legs, but it's now between 8-10 percent. His goal is six percent. Watson was a full participant in OTAs, and getting him through a healthy offseason would be a big first step. He's the most explosive weapon in a deep Green Bay wideout room -- Watson has averaged 15 yards per catch over his first two seasons.
-
D'Wayne Eskridge SEA WR
Seahawks' Dee Eskridge: Taking part in OTAs
5d agoEskridge (ribs) has been an active participant at the Seahawks' OTAs, Tim Weaver of Seahawks Wire reports.
Eskridge ended the 2023 campaign on injured reserve with a rib injury, but he now appears to be fully healthy at OTAs. The 27-year-old re-signed with Seattle in March after failing to record a reception over 16 offensive snaps in four games last season. The wide receiver has operated primarily as a return-specialist over the last two years, a role that he'll likely remain in with the Seahawks in 2024.
-
Will Mallory IND TE
Colts' Will Mallory: Back on field
11h agoMallory (hamstring) participated in OTAs last week.
Mallory finished the 2023 campaign sidelined by an injury, but it appears the 2023 fifth-round selection has fully recovered. Although he was able to contribute 18 receptions and 207 yards in 12 regular-season games during his rookie campaign, he faces a crowded tight end room in Indianapolis with the return of Jelani Woods from a Hamstring injury, as well as holdovers Kylen Granson, Mo Alie-Cox and Drew Ogletree.
-
Albert Okwuegbunam PHI TE
Eagles' Albert Okwuegbunam: Active for OTAs
5d agoOkwuegbunam (hamstring) has been participating in the Eagles' team OTAs, Fran Duffy of Big News Network reports.
Okwuegbunam was placed on injured reserve with a hamstring injury in late December, but he looks to be 100 percent ahead the 2024 season, his second campaign with the Eagles. The tight end appeared in four games with Philadelphia last year, failing to catch his only target. Okwuegbunam will likely operate in a depth role this season behind the likes of Dallas Goedert and newly-acquired C.J. Uzomah (knee).
-
Lawrence Cager NYG TE
Giants' Lawrence Cager: Good to go for 2024
5d agoCager (groin) has been an active participant at the Giants' OTAs, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports.
Cager finished the 2023 season on injured reserve with a groin injury, which he has now fully recovered from. The tight end appeared in 11 games with the Giants last season, catching four passes for 36 yards and a touchdown while operating primarily as a special-teams player, a role he'll likely remain in if he cracks the active roster in 2024.
-
Hunter Long LAR TE
Rams' Hunter Long: Participating in OTAs
5d agoLong (knee) has been a participant at the Rams' OTA sessions, Cameron DaSilva of Rams Wire reports.
Long finished the 2023 campaign on injured reserve following MCL surgery, but he now looks to be fully healthy heading into the 2024. The tight end appeared in four games last season, failing to garner a target while playing 54 offensive snaps and he projects to be a depth option behind Tyler Higbee (knee), Colby Parkinson and Davis Allen this year.
-
Cole Fotheringham LV TE
Raiders' Cole Fotheringham: Active for OTAs
5d agoFotheringham (hamstring) has been participating in the Raiders' OTA sessions.
Fotheringham suffered a hamstring injury in the team's Week 17 matchup with the Colts before signing a reserve/future contract with the Raiders in January. He now looks to be a full go ahead of the 2024 campaign after he appeared in two contests with Las Vegas last season, reeling in his only target for six yards while playing 21 offensive snaps. The 26-year-old will attempt to carve out a reserve tight end role this season behind Michael Mayer and Brock Bowers.
-
Greg Dulcich DEN TE
Broncos' Greg Dulcich: Close to return
5d agoDulcich (hamstring/foot) worked on a side field during Thursday's OTA, Ryan McFadden of The Denver Post reports.
On the plus side, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com relays via coach Sean Payton that Dulcich is "close" to practicing and should be doing so "sooner than later." Dulcich, who was limited to just two regular-season appearances in 2023, thus is expected to be ready before training camp, per Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site. At that stage, the 2022 third-rounder will have an opportunity to claim a key role in Denver's passing offense, while operating in a TE corps that also includes Adam Trautmanand Lucas Krull.
-
Dustin Hopkins CLE K
Browns' Dustin Hopkins: Past hamstring injury
4d agoCoach Kevin Stefanski relayed earlier this week that Hopkins has recovered from the hamstring injury he sustained last December, Scott Petrak of BrownsZone.com reports.
The injury sidelined Hopkins for the Browns' last two regular-season games, as well as the team's playoff loss to the Texans. Per Petrak, Hopkins wasn't initially present for this week's voluntary OTAs, but once the kicker returns to the mix, he'll be set to lead a kicking corps that also includes Cade York and Lucas Havrisik.
-
Graham Gano NYG K
Giants' Graham Gano: Kicking during OTAs
7d agoGano (knee) participated in OTAs on Tuesday, per the Giants' official site.
Gano played in the first eight games of 2023 before landing on the IR in November due to a left knee injury that required season-ending surgery. He was back on the field doing kicking drills during OTAs on Tuesday. Gano finished the 2023 season having gone 11-for-17 on field-goal attempts while making all eight of his extra-point tries.
-
Lucas Havrisik CLE K
Lucas Havrisik: Loses spot
15d agoHavrisik was waived by the Browns on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Havrisik signed a reserve/future contract with Cleveland in January after the Rams waived him. He was expected to at least have the opportunity to compete with Dustin Hopkins (hamstring) and Cade York for the team's kicker job in 2024, but instead, he'll become a free agent once again.
-
Chad Ryland NE K
Patriots' Chad Ryland: Set to compete with veteran kicker
27d agoRyland is slated to face competition from veteran kicker Joey Slye, who is in line to sign with the Patriots, Mark Daniels of masslive.com reports.
A fourth-round pick of the Patriots in the 2023 NFL Draft, Ryland is coming off a rookie campaign in which he made just 64 percent of his field-goal attempts (16 of 25). Though the Maryland product has a strong kicking leg, he'll need to display better accuracy in the coming months in order to hold off the challenge presented by the 28-year-old Slye, who connected on 79.2 percent of his field-goal tries with the Commanders last season.
-
Joey Slye NE K
Patriots' Joey Slye: Gets opportunity with New England
27d agoSlye has agreed to a deal with the Patriots, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.
After being released by the Jaguars earlier this week, it didn't take long for the 28-year-old to catch on with another team. With the Commanders last year, he made 19 of his 24 field-goal tries and 32 of his 35 extra-point attempts across 17 regular-season games. Now that he's with the Patriots, Slye will have an opportunity to compete with 2023 fourth-rounder Chad Ryland, who is coming off an inconsistent rookie campaign for New England.
-
Joey Slye JAC K
Joey Slye: Replaced by rookie
29d agoThe Jaguars released Slye on Tuesday.
Slye inked with Jacksonville as a free agent back in March, but he's now lost his spot on the roster to rookie sixth-round pick Cam Little. Meanwhile, Riley Patterson remains with the Jaguars as potential offseason competition for Little. Slye converted 19 of 24 field-goal tries and 32 of 35 extra-point attempts across 17 games with Washington last season.

Josh Tupou CIN DT
Ravens' Josh Tupou: Gets new opportunity
12h agoTupou signed a contract with the Ravens on Tuesday.
Tupou has spent the last six seasons with the Bengals, but the team didn't re-sign the veteran, opening up the opportunity for him to sign with the AFC North rival. The 30-year-old will likely compete for a depth role on the interior of the defensive line in Baltimore.
-
Tanoh Kpassagnon NO DE
Saints' Tanoh Kpassagnon: Suffers major injury in offseason
12h agoKpassagnon suffered a torn Achilles at some point during the offseason, John Hendrix of SI.com reports.
It's unclear exactly how or when Kpassagnon suffered the injury, but it will certainly impact his ability to be ready when the 2024 season starts. However, according to head coach Dennis Allen, the Villanova product may be able to return at some point during the season, Rod Walker of The Times-Picayune reports.
