SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) Jarred Dixon hit two jumpers and made two free throws in overtime as Missouri State scored the first six points in the extra period to give the Bears just enough cushion to hold off Indiana State for an 81-75 victory on Saturday.

Alize Johnson led Missouri State (11-4, 2-0 Missouri Valley Conference) with a career-best 30 points and 15 rebounds. He was 10 of 20 from the floor. Dixon finished with 19 points, making 8 of 10 field goal attempts.

Missouri State jumped out to a 37-29 halftime advantage. Indiana State gradually closed the gap. Brenton Scott found Brandon Murphy open under the basket and he slammed home a dunk with one second left in regulation to tie the game at 72 and send it in to overtime.

Scott had 22 points and tied his career high with six 3-pointers to lead Indiana State (6-8, 0-2).
