MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) Reginald Gee scored 20 points and Alabama State used a strong finish to beat Arkansas-Pine Bluff 77-65 and snap a two-game losing streak Saturday.

Arkansas-Pine Bluff cut the deficit to six points, 61-55, with four minutes remaining but Tony Armstrong answered with a layup and Torloft Thomas drilled a 3-pointer and added a free throw to push the lead to 12 points and Alabama State cruised home.

The Hornets lost a pair of games on the road, losing by a field goal at Texas Southern and by 20 points at Prairie View A&M. Arkansas-Pine Bluff, which lost back-to-back games to Grambling State and Jackson State, now has lost six of its last seven games.

Tony Armstrong added 17 points for Alabama State (6-16, 4-6), which shot 59.1 percent in the second half (13 of 22).

Joe'Randle Toliver scored 18 points to lead the Golden Lions (5-19, 4-6).
