NATCHITOCHES, La. (AP) Zeek Woodley scored 25 points with seven rebounds and four assists, Ishmael Lane scored 20 points on 6-for-7 shooting, and Northwestern State shot a blistering 61.5 percent to beat Central Arkansas 97-83 on Saturday.

Northwestern State (13-16, 7-11 Southland) came out firing and led 57-36 at halftime. Tanner Hamilton's 3 put the Demons out front 35-16 with 7:34 left before halftime.

The Demons shot 59 percent on 20-for-34 shooting, including 9 for 17 from 3-point distance, and made all eight free throws before intermission. Northwestern State shot 32 for 52 total, including 11 for 21 from 3-point range.

The Bears trailed 75-55 after Ethan Lee made one of two foul shots. Central Arkansas (8-23, 7-11) went on a 17-5 run and closed to 80-72 on Jordan Howard's layup with 6:57 to go. Mathieu Kamba reduced the deficit to 86-79 just more than a couple of minutes later but the Bears shot just one for seven the rest of the way.

Kamba led the Bears with 24 points, Howard had 18 and Aaron Weidenaar 11.
