NORFOLK, Va. (AP) Jonathan Wade scored 26 points and his layup with 1:38 left in overtime helped send Norfolk State to a 93-88 win over South Carolina State in the quarterfinals of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Tournament on Wednesday night.

Norfolk State (16-15) plays the winner of Thursday's Morgan State-Howard winner on Friday.

South Carolina State (11-20) took its first lead of the game on Eric Eaves' 3-pointer for an 88-85 lead with 3:28 to play in the extra session but never scored again. Wade's layup made it 90-88 and Alex Long threw down a dunk with 18 seconds left.

The Bulldogs went on a 14-2 run in the final 2:09 of regulation to force overtime.

Zaynah Robinson added 20 points for Norfolk State. Alex Long and Kyle Williams had 13 apiece.

Eaves scored 24 points and Greg Mortimer had 21 to led South Carolina State.
