The third annual CBS Sports Classic will take place on Dec. 17 in Las Vegas next season. Where, specifically? T-Mobile Arena. T-Mobile Arena is brand new; it just opened in April. Plopped right on the Strip, it sits between the Monte Carlo and New York, New York hotel/casinos.
The 2016 tilts will feature UNC vs. Kentucky and UCLA vs. Ohio State. Kentucky and UNC are preseason top 10 teams, while UCLA is ranked 11th in our offseason Top 25 (and one).
Per the event's press release: "The arena features 50 luxury suites, more than two dozen private loge boxes, and hospitality offerings and fan amenities destined to create a guest experience that is second to none. Toshiba Plaza, an adjacent two-acre outdoor entertainment space, features performance stages, a variety of video screens and other interactive content and display areas."
Tickets for the public go on sale in October.
