No. 7 seed South Carolina had not won an NCAA Tournament in 44 years before entering into the Big Dance, and now the Gamecocks are just 40 minutes away from a Final Four appearance. They’ll have to do it against Florida, a team of fate that won at the buzzer on Friday night.

South Carolina: The Gamecocks are the Cinderella of March thus far, knocking off Marquette, Duke and Baylor in convincing wins to reach a point the program has never been before. That magical run can continue on Sunday against No. 4 seed Florida.

Florida: It’s no accident that the Gators have got to where they have, but they’ve had a little luck in getting here. No. 1 seed Villanova went down in the round of 32, No. 2 seed Duke followed suit, and No. 3 seed Baylor was ousted by the Gamecocks. It’s anyones game from here on, and Florida head coach Mike White has a legit shot to reach the Final Four in his first-ever NCAA Tournament appearance as a head coach.
