Class of 2014 point guard Chris Chiozza, barring a change of plans, will announce next week that he's committing to Florida, a source told CBSSports.com on Friday.

A formal announcement is expected Tuesday.

Chiozza is a 5-foot-11 playmaker from White Station High in Memphis, Tenn., developed into one of the nation's hottest prospects during the April evaluation period. In addition to Florida, he had offers from Memphis, Ohio State, Connecticut, Butler, USC, Auburn and many others. It should also be noted that Chiozza is high school teammates with Class of 2014 star Leron Black, one of the top juniors in the country.

Chiozza will be Florida's first commitment from the Class of 2014.
