Creighton's Maurice Watson left Monday's 72-67 win at Xavier after collapsing with an injury to his left knee. The severity of the injury remains unclear. But a Creighton spokesperson told CBS Sports that coach Greg McDermott said Watson's "ligaments are solid" -- though there could be meniscus damage.

Watson did not play in the second half at Xavier.

He will be further evaluated once the Bluejays return to Omaha.

Watson has spent this season guiding an offense that ranks second nationally in 2-point field goal percentage and third nationally in 3-point field goal percentage. He's averaging 13.4 points and 8.8 assists for Creighton, which is 18-1 and No. 8 in the CBS Sports Top 25 (and one). Nobody is averaging more assists per game.
