Former Southern Miss standout Jonathan Mills has been shot and killed in his hometown of Chicago, the Sun-Times reported Monday afternoon.
Mills was shot multiple times, according to Chicago Police.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Former Southern Miss coach Donnie Tyndall confirmed the news via Twitter.

Mills, 26, averaged 9.3 points and 8.0 rebounds during the 2012-13 season while leading Southern Miss to 27 victories. The 6-foot-6 forward subsequently played professionally overseas. He reportedly leaves behind two daughters.
