PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) Traylin Farris had 19 points and 13 rebounds and Portland State held off a late run to beat Sacramento State 83-76 on Saturday night.

Bryce Canda hit a 3-pointer with 23 seconds left to make it 81-76, and Zach Gengler added a pair of free throws to cap the scoring at 12 seconds for the Vikings (9-5, 2-1 Big Sky).

Portland State had a 19-4 run to lead 73-62 on Deontae North's 3-pointer with 5:57 to go. The Hornets (3-11, 0-3) answered with a 14-5 run to get within two on Justin Strings' layup with 46 seconds left.

Canda and North had 15 points each, Gengler scored 14 and Calaen Robinson added 11 points for the Vikings. Canda made 5 of 10 from 3-point range.

Strings had 25 points for Sacramento State, including 4-of-7 shooting from the arc. Eric Stuteville added 13 points and Izayah Mauriohoohoo-Le'Afa scored 11.
