No Georges Niang, no problem.

Iowa State came back in the final minutes to beat North Carolina, 85-83, on DeAndre Kane's layup with 1.6 seconds left.

Kane and Melvin Ejim carried the load in Niang's absence, combining for 43 points and 14 rebounds -- but it was Naz Long's three 3-pointers in the second half that brought Iowa State back. The Cyclones seemed out of bullets in the final minutes, letting North Carolina get an eight-point lead. Iowa State was getting dominated on the glass and on the inside, but Long's 3-pointer to cut the lead to five sparked a rally.

A rally that ended with Kane's drive and finish.
