As far as commitments go, this is one of the best I've ever seen from any college basketball prospect.

Billy Preston, one of the best forwards in the class of 2017, signed with Kansas on Friday. He made two announcements. One came on ESPNU, but the really fun one was done in the video below. Preston went meta, donning the jerseys of the schools he had as finalists -- Kansas, Syracuse, USC and Indiana -- and played out the demons and decisions he's wrestled with in recent months.

In the end, Kansas wins. Very fun. Watch this:

You rarely see players go that far out when committing. I like it.

What's Kansas getting in Preston? A diverse forward who can play the 3 or the 4, who's got fantastic offense ability and a great knack for driving in the paint. He can shoot with range, too. Overall, he's considered one of the toughest pound-for-pound players in the class. He's even got great passing ability for a guy listed as 6-foot-10.

Preston is ranked as the No. 12 player in the class of 2017. He joins Marcus Garrett, who's a four-star combo guard, as the only commits so far in Kansas' class. But plenty more should be coming, and Self and his staff will no doubt zero in on Trevon Duval -- the best point guard in the class of 2017.

Next season, Preston will become the latest athletic freak to wear KU blue. He's not as athletic as Josh Jackson, but he's in that mold.
