Mecole Hardman Jr. (Elberton, Ga.) likely did not become one of the top recruits in the country -- 247Sports has him ranked as the top athlete in the land -- by eating cake, but he used cake as a prop during his National Signing Day ceremony.
Hardman put four cakes on the table: Tennessee, Michigan, Florida and Clemson.

It turned out, however, that the cakes were all a red herring. There to distract us from Hardman's intent.
Instead of choosing a cake, Hardman exploded into the gym through a paper banner with multiple logos on it, none of which was Georgia.
But when he ran through the banner, there was Hardman, wearing a Georgia hat, and a Georgia jersey.
No word on what will happen to the cakes.
