The 2015 season was the first time Florida State did not win the ACC since 2011, ending a streak of three straight conference titles. As a result, the Seminoles did not go to the College Football Playoff, but were instead sent to the Peach Bowl, which they lost to Houston 38-24.

All of which meant that Florida State didn't have a reason to give its players rings to celebrate some kind of championship, and when that's the case, well, you just have to make things up.

While Florida State didn't win the ACC, or the Peach Bowl, what it did do was beat USF, Miami and Florida during the regular season. That's a 3-0 record against schools from Florida, and you know what that means, don't you?

State championship.

Instead of making fun of Florida State for doing this, I'm instead going to point out that this whole state championship is a fraud. Sure, the Noles beat USF, Miami and Florida, but those are just three schools in Florida.

What about UCF, FAU and FIU?

I declare this state championship to be null and void.

I have spoken.
