Devon Gales has made tremendous improvements in his efforts to walk again, according to a video of his progress that he shared on Thursday, less than two years after the neck injury that left the former Southern wide receiver paralyzed from the waist down.

Gales collided with then-Georgia kicker Marshall Morgan during a kickoff in September 2015. The impact between the two fractured Gales' C6 vertebrae, and he's been confined to a wheelchair ever since.

Gales has since become a regular in the Georgia football community. The school has helped launch a campaign to build him a handicap-accessible home, and Gales even attended the wedding of Morgan earlier this year.
