Texas running back D'Onta Foreman was having a strong start to Saturday's rivalry game against Texas Tech. Foreman had more than 100 rushing yards before the middle of the second quarter and nearly had a second touchdown at the end of this bullish 23-yard run. The bruising Texas back was churning his legs and fighting for extra yards on third-and-goal when the ball was ripped loose by Texas Tech freshman cornerback Douglas Coleman at the very last second and returned 99 yards the other way for a touchdown.

It's easily one of the craziest plays of the year in college football, and we're only a few days into November.

The play was reviewed and officials determined that Foreman did not cross the goal line before losing control of the ball. Given the scrum around Foreman, it would be difficult to find any indisputable video evidence that could overturn the call on the field of a Red Raiders touchdown.

However, it should also be noted that replays not only show a block in the back on Texas Tech during the return but Coleman stepping out inside the five before he reaches the goal line. The penalty was not called, and the review did not include checking the players footing.
