A's release Adam Dunn, claim Jorge De Leon off waivers

The Athletics announced Thursday they released DH Adam Dunn, who was acquired in an August trade with the White Sox. Dunn is set to retire after 14 seasons in the majors.

To take Dunn's roster spot, the Athletics claimed pitcher Jorge De Leon off waivers from Houston.
