Athletics pitcher Jarrod Parker underwent surgery on Tuesday to repair the medial epicondyle fracture, the team announced.

Parker suffered the injury on his rehab assignment to get back from Tommy John surgery. When Parker released his pitch, he immediately went down, grabbing his arm. He is not expected to need a third Tommy John surgery. He has not thrown in the majors since 2013, when he posted a 12-8 record and a 3.97 ERA in 197 innings.
