Washington pitcher Ryan Perry will be converted from a reliever to a starter in order to provide more depth at the minor-league level, MASNSports.com reports. Perry, who was optioned to Triple-A Syracuse earlier this month, has exclusively served out of the bullpen in his four-year career. "We like his size," Nationals director of player development Doug Harris said Monday. "We like his athleticism. He has an ease to his delivery. We feel like, with Ryan, we have a chance to take a step back in order to take two steps forward."
