Adrien was waived by New Orleans Saturday, Marc J. Spears of Yahoo! Sports reports. The 28-year-old forward from the University of Connecticut was unable to show enough this preseason to earn a roster spot on Opening night. He played 17 games for the Timberwolves last year, averaging 3.5 points, 4.5 boards, and 0.5 blocks in 12.6 minutes per game. He'll likely start the season in the D-League.
Adrien tallied 11 points (3-3 FG, 5-5 FT), six rebounds, one assist, two steals and a block in a 100-120 loss to the Rockets on Monday. This was a revenge game of sorts for Adrien, as he played for the Rockets two years ago. The power forward has had a hard time finding a role in the NBA and he'll likely have the same problem here. He's currently behind Dante Cunningham, Ryan Anderson, and Anthony Davis on the depth chart and he surely wont move ahead of any of those guys.
The Timberwolves announced they waived forward Jeff Adrien on Wednesday. Adrien appeared in 17 games for the Timberwolves this season, averaging 3.5 points and 4.5 rebounds.
Free agent forward Jeff Adrien is signing with the Minnesota Timberwolves, according to RealGM. Adrien was waived by the Rockets after training camp this season. Adrien, who played for the Bucks and Bobcats last season, is averaging 4.8 points and 4.4 rebounds per game in his four-year carerer.
The Rockets have agreed to deals with center Joey Dorsey and forward Jeff Adrien Tuesday, according to Yahoo.com and the Houston Chronicle. Dorsey signed with the Rockets after spending three seasons playing in Europe. Adrien played for the Bucks last season, averaging 10.9 points and 7.8 rebounds in 28 games.
