76ers' Ish Smith: Fires up 24 shots Monday

Smith (ankle) had 16 points (7-24 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 1-1 FT), nine rebounds, five assists, and two steals in 33 minutes during the 76ers' 98-92 overtime loss to the Clippers on Monday. Smith missed Saturday's showdown with the Nets after spraining his ankle against the Wizards on Friday. However, he was able to return to the starting lineup and play 33 minutes on Monday. Given that Smith was supposedly set to face a 24-minute restriction, his ankle must have been feeling fine. His field-goal percentage has plummeted to 36 percent during the last four contests, but he is still managing solid averages of 15.3 points, 6.5 assists to 1.8 turnovers, 5.5 rebounds, and 2.5 steals in 32 minutes over that same span. The 76ers host the Kings on Wednesday, and then they have eight nights off for the All-Star break, so rest is at least on the horizon for the 27-year-old journeyman.

76ers' Ish Smith: Will play Monday

Smith (ankle) will play Monday against the Clippers, but he'll be on a 24-minute restriction, Tom Moore of Calkins Media reports. Smith sprained his left ankle over the weekend, which kept him out of Saturday's game against the Nets. He'll return to the starting lineup Monday, but the minutes restriction would seem to imply that the ankle is still not 100%. Isaiah Canaan and Kendall Marshall figure to pick up some extra minutes off the bench Monday.

76ers' Ish Smith: Out Saturday, expected back Monday

Smith (ankle) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Nets, Calkins Media's Tom Moore reports. The Sixers quickly announced that T.J. McConnell would get the start at point guard, meaning he could see 30-plus minutes. Isaiah Canaan and Kendall Marshall could also see slight upticks in minutes Saturday. Smith is fully expected to return Monday against the Clippers.

76ers' Ish Smith: Questionable to play Saturday

Smith is questionable to participate in Saturday's matchup with the Nets after spraining his ankle Friday, Jessica Camerato of Philadelphia's Comcast Sports Network reports. It is unclear when Smith hurt his ankle in Friday's loss to the Wizards, but he appears to be a true game-time decision Saturday. His status will simply depend on how his ankle is feeling closer to tip-off. He posted 22 points, five rebounds, five assists, three steals, and one block in 32 minutes Friday. If he cannot go, look for T.J. McConnell and Kendall Marshall to see increased roles with the team.

76ers' Ish Smith: Scores 22 points Friday

Smith posted 22 points (11-25 FG, 0-2 3Pt), five rebounds, five assists, three steals, and one block in 32 minutes during the 76ers' 106-94 loss to the Wizards on Friday. Smith is shooting just 39 percent from the field over the last five games. He is averaging 15.6 points, 7.2 assists, 4.2 rebounds, and 1.6 steals per appearance over these past five, but he has needed a staggering 17.6 shot attempts. Though his counting stats haven't fallen off much, the honeymoon is clearly over. Still, Smith has helped the 76ers establish themselves as an actual NBA team since his arrival, and he will likely have the keys to the offense for the remainder of the season.

76ers' Ish Smith: Scores seven in disastrous loss Wednesday

Smith scored seven points (3-9 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 1-2 FT) to go with seven assists, three rebounds, and a steal over 26 minutes in a 124-86 loss to the Hawks on Wednesday. Smith had no answers for Atlanta on Wednesday, as his seven points represented his lowest point total since Jan. 2. The well-traveled Smith has enjoyed a renaissance season in Philadelphia, averaging 16.3 points with eight dimes in the three games entering Wednesday. Smith and the 76ers will look to shape up for Friday's contest against the Wizards.

76ers' Ish Smith: Scores team-high 16 in Saturday loss

Smith had 16 points (7-19 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-4 FT), nine assists, five rebounds and four steals in a loss on Saturday to the Warriors. Smith was vital to the Sixers' near defeat of the Warriors on Saturday, as he nearly double-doubled in the process. He also did a fairly good job defending the reigning-MVP, Stephen Curry, and he also had a season-high four steals in the process. The Sixers have turned their whole season around thanks to Smith, and he may have done the same for your fantasy team in the process.

76ers' Ish Smith: Struggles with six turnovers in Wednesday's loss

Smith had 13 points (6-18 FG, 1-2 3Pt), six assists, three rebounds and six turnovers in Wednesday's loss to Detroit. Smith had been rolling prior to tonight, but Detroit is a much-improved defense and it's wise to not hold this performance against him. Smith has one of the greatest things in fantasy sports working for him, opportunity. Being the Sixers' point guard doesn't offer much in the way of competition. Sure, T.J. McConnell has his moments, but it looks like they want Smith to be their point guard of the future. He will continue to see a healthy amount of minutes and opportunities to be involved in the offense.

76ers' Ish Smith: Finds groove again with 20 points in Tuesday's win

Smith got back on track with 20 points (7-17 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 6-8 FT), nine assists and five rebounds during 32 minutes in Tuesday's 113-103 win against the Suns. Smith clearly wasn't happy with his performance Sunday against the Celtics and took it out on the Suns, netting his highest point total in five games. He got back to distributing the ball more and it paid off both in fantasy and his team. It's hard to live day-by-day with the inconsistencies, but it's games like this that make Smith worthwhile.

76ers' Ish Smith: Held to seven points Sunday

Smith was limited to seven points (3-12 FG, 1-2 FT), four assists, two steals, one block, and one rebound across 26 minutes in Sunday's 112-92 loss to the Celtics. Smith's poor shooting and uninspiring 4:3 assist-to-turnover ratio resulted in him receiving his second-fewest minutes since Jan. 4. While turning the ball over isn't typically a major problem for Smith, his shooting touch remains a more delicate issue, and often makes or breaks his overall production on a given night. He's hitting on just 37.7 percent of his shot attempts over the Sixers' last six games.
