Raptors' Lucas Nogueira: Recalled from D-League

Nogueira was recalled from the D-League's Raptors 905 on Tuesday. Nogueira previously saw some court time in December when Jonas Valanciunas (hand) was sidelined, but with the Raptors frontcourt now fully healthy, the second-year big man figures to see few opportunities at the NBA level.

Raptors' Lucas Nogueira: Recalled from NBA D-League

Nogueira was recalled from the D-League's Toronto 905 on Sunday. Nogueira, as well as Bruno Caboclo and Delon Wright, have all been recalled after a one game stint in the D-League. In Saturday's game with the 905, Nogueira finished with eight points (4-8 FG, 0-1 3Pt), six rebounds and six assists over 40 minutes. The seven-foot center will slide in as a reserve option behind Jonas Valanciunas and Bismack Biyombo.

Raptors' Lucas Nogueira: Returns to action, logs 15 minutes

Nogueira (ankle) returned to action after a three-game absence and posted three points (1-4 FG, 1-2 FT), two rebounds, two steals, and one block in 15 minutes in Sunday's 96-76 win against the Sixers. Nogueira has played in just seven games this season and is averaging 4.6 points and 2.3 rebounds in 12 minutes. Although it's a bright sign for his status that he was able to play on Sunday, it's still hard to see his upside In most fantasy formats. He's not getting enough minutes to contribute, even with Jonas Valanciunas out, and he's not worth looking at in non-keeper formats.

Raptors' Lucas Nogueira: Out Wednesday night

Nogueira (ankle) will sit out Wednesday's game against the Spurs, the Toronto Raptors Official Twitter Account reports. Nogueira's left ankle sprain that caused him to sit out Monday night is still affecting him. It is yet unclear when he sustained this injury, but in his absence, Bismack Biyombo will continue to receive increased minutes.

Raptors' Lucas Nogueira: Set to miss Monday with ankle sprain

Nogueira will sit out Monday against the Lakers with a sprained left ankle. It's still unknown when Nogueira picked up the injury, but he recently started seeing consistent minutes off the bench with at least 16 in each of his past three games. In his absence, Bismack Biyombo will likely see an uptick in playing time.

Raptors' Lucas Nogueira: Scores 14 off the bench Saturday

Nogueira scored 14 points (7-9 FG) while adding four rebounds, three assists and a steal in 25 minutes off the bench during Saturday's loss to the Warriors. He didn't record a block but his length make an impact on defense, and Bebe ended up seeing more court time than starter Bismack Biyombo at center. The 23-year-old Nogueira has looked very good since being called up from the D-League, and given his ability to run the pick and roll and willingness to kick the ball back outside rather than force up a bad shot, it's possible he could soon replace Biyombo in the starting lineup and remain in the rotation once Jonas Valanciunas returns from his finger injury.

Raptors' Lucas Nogueira: Submits best game of season versus former team

Nogueira had his best game of the season in Wednesday's 96-86 win over the Hawks, finishing with four points (2-2 FG), seven rebounds, and a block in 16 minutes. Bismack Biyombo continues to dominate the minutes at center while Jonas Valanciunas (hand) remains out, but Nogueira may be starting to carve out a greater role for himself as a reserve. He's logged a total of 22 minutes over the last two contests, and the 23-year-old offers plenty of energy and shot-blocking ability. Even so, unless he's able to wrest the starting job away from Biyombo, Nogueira isn't really a player to consider for fantasy purposes just yet.

Raptors' Lucas Nogueira: Doesn't see the court Sunday

Nogueira was a DNP - Coach's Decision in his return to the Raptors on Sunday. He re-joined the roster from the team's D-League affiliate in time for Sunday afternoon's game, but a lack of practice time with the big club likely ensures that he didn't get on the court. There's no timetable yet for Jonas Valanciunas' return from a broken finger, but with the Raptors off until Wednesday, Nogueira has a better chance of working his way into the frontcourt rotation once Dwane Casey's been able to put him through his paces.

Raptors' Lucas Nogueira: Near triple-double in D-League home opener

Nogueira scored 13 points (5-8 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 3-4 FT) with nine rebounds, nine assists and four blocks in 27 minutes during Wednesday's home opener for the Raptors' D-League affiliate. The young Brazilian center had a big stat line, but also struggled defensively against Celtics draft pick Jordan Mickey. Nogueira will likely remain with the Raptors 905 for most of the season, unless injuries hit the frontcourt on the NBA roster, so he should get plenty of court time in which to improve his skills.
