John Daly's had one top-25 finish at The Open Championship since winning the Claret Jug in 1995 at St. Andrews. He has missed the last two Open cuts and has missed 11 of a possible 17 cuts since that wild tournament in 1995.

But who cares about any of that because Daly is wearing pineapple pants in Scotland at the home of golf for this year's Open at Royal Troon.

I repeat, John Daly is wearing pineapple pants for a professional golf tournament in Scotland.

Here's a look at the sweet Daly threads.

Daly also rocked what appeared to be a 40-gallon white trash bag up top and Rory McIlroy's Nike shoes, of choice. It all added up to a 4-over 74 in Round 1 for Long John. Daly was actually 1 under through eight holes but made a triple bogey at the ninth for an early-tournament collapse.

Daly will likely miss another cut, but hey, he'll have a chance to win the Senior Open next week a Carnoustie.

One unintended benefit we received from Daly's pants -- other than, you know, Daly's pants -- is that Johnny Miller made a "Pineapple Express" reference as Daly tidied up his 75 on the final hole.

Amazing. Just like everything Daly does.
