There are a lot of big-name golfers in contention at the 2014 US Open after the first two rounds. Rory McIlroy and Adam Scott are up there, so are Jordan Spieth, Rickie Fowler, and Phil Mickelson.

But there are also a lot of golfers who will be going home after Round 2. Here's a look at who didn't make the weekend cut and how many shots they missed it by.

Luke Donald: 1 shot
Bubba Watson: 1 shot
Charl Schwartzel: 1 shot
Jason Dufner: 1 shot
Hunter Mahan: 1 shot
Miguel Angel Jimenez: 1 shot
Lee Westwood: 3 shots
Nick Watney: 3 shots

Really there weren't a lot of big-time names that missed the cut other than Bubba. The bad part is that none of the other big names are particularly high on the leaderboard in comparison to Kaymer.

Mahan's plight was especially rough as he was assessed a two-stroke penalty for hitting the wrong ball in the 18th fairway on Friday. Without that penalty he makes the cut.
