The Cadillac Championship this week is at Trump National Doral, which of course means that several golfers were asked about 2016 presidential candidate Donald Trump.

Rory McIlroy, who is from Northern Ireland, was asked who he would vote for on Wednesday.

"I'm not American," he retorted.

He was then asked if any of the Trump madness was going to be a distraction with the first WGC event of 2016 underway.

"He's not going to be the leader of my country," McIlroy said. "Look, it doesn't bother me too much. I've been following it and ... I really thought I knew what politics were until I started to watch some of these presidential debates. I mean, not saying that the political system in Northern Ireland is too strong at the moment either. It is, it's shocking.

"Yeah, look, I can't vote, and if I were to vote, I'm not sure I would want to vote for any of the candidates."

I'm sure some Americans would probably agree with him.

Nope, not that one either. (USATSI)
