It was a foregone fact but on Monday Tiger Woods officially committed to the 2014 Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines on January 23-26.

Unlike 2013 it will be Woods' debut of the new year. Last year he played the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship before winning at Torrey.
The win last year was his seventh at the tournament since 1999 plus another win (the 2008 US Open) at Torrey Pines.
Basically he owns the place so it will be fun to watch him debut the new year there.
