As CBS Sports shifts into its spring and summer coverage of the PGA Tour, it has released several "Voice of Golf" commercials showcasing its excellent broadcast team. CBS Sports has 14 tournaments remaining on its schedule, including the season's final major, the PGA Championship at Quail Hollow.
Several of these new spots are pretty hilarious as they put the CBS Sports team of Jim Nantz, Nick Faldo, Ian Baker-Finch, Gary McCord, Peter Kostis and Dottie Pepper in some unique situations tangentially (if at all) relating to golf. For instance, in the wedding they were called on to broadcast, Gary McCord notes of the salad served at the reception: "These greens are in fantastic shape."
The promos began during coverage RBC Heritage and will continue throughout the rest of the season which culminates for CBS Sports at The Northern Trust, which is the first FedEx Cup Playoff event.
