Zach Johnson is an 11-time champion on the PGA Tour and with each victory his legend grows a little bit more.
There he was at the 2007 Masters, navigating brutal weather and an unseasonable cold front to wear green.
And again at the end of 2013 chasing down Tiger at his own tournament.
Then in Hawaii on Monday holding off the best players in the game -- Dustin Johnson, Adam Scott, Jordan Spieth, Brandt Snedeker, and Jason Dufner -- to win again.
So what do we attribute all his poise to? Alan Shipnuck of Golf.com interviewed Johnson's caddie Damon Green and he painted an interesting picture.
"He's got the biggest pair out here. Him and Tiger, I think. He's not afraid of being in the lead, he thrives on it. A lot of guys don't like being in the lead, they can't stomach it. But he's got a cast-iron stomach. Man, he's solid."
That's a quote, folks. A hell of a quote. And it's true.
Johnson, for his part, relishes the role.
"I'm not saying I'm always an underdog, but I kind of feel like it. If anything, I put myself in that posture where I feel like I'm an underdog."
As Justin Ray of ESPN pointed out at the end of the Tournament of Champions, Johnson has been 38 under in his last 10 final rounds of tournaments.
He lives to close and you should start appreciating him for it.
