Indians-Cubs World Series: Inside Wrigley Field as MLB players Stand Up To Cancer

Annually, MLB does this during Game 4 of the World Series. Here is the 2016 version

CHICAGO -- Annually during Game 4 of the World Series, Major League Baseball has a moment of silence with fans and media alike standing up with signs in support of Stand Up To Cancer. Hours prior to the game, placards are set up on every seat in the stadium. Here is the shot from Wrigley Field, roughly four hours before game time.

There are instructions on the back for the fans and here's how it turned out. Forgive the blurriness on some of it, as I was forced to be doing a lot of this while moving around quickly.

Mostly a sea of blue during the game, the placards dominate the bleachers.

Players, managers, coaches, umpires, media and everyone else joined the fans.

Major League Baseball is a founding member of Stand Up To Cancer and has helped contribute hundreds of millions of dollars in the effort (the figure was roughly $370 million as of late August).

This is always an excellent moment of solidarity on the biggest stage this sport has and this year was no different. Despite any differences, we can all rally around this cause together.
