If you know anything about minor-league and independent-league teams, you know they like to draw attention to themselves through any means necessary.

That includes, among other things, naming a pro-wrestling faction as their guest manager. Here are the details (H/T: Big League Stew):

The Bridgeport Bluefish today announced that former nWo members Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, and Sean Waltman will guest manage the team on Friday, September 2 as the 'Fish take on the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs. The nWo will throw out the ceremonial first pitch and participate in a pre-game meet-and-greet with fans. Also, following the game a Micro Wrestling showcase will be held in the Two Roads Beer Garden.

The Bluefish had previously made waves by having Jennie Finch and Roger Clemens guest-manage. Those would seem to be bigger deals to a baseball-going crowd than a group of wrestlers whose popularity peaked 20 years ago.

But who knows -- independent-league ball is bloody weird.
