Julio Borbon: Announces retirement
Borbon announced his retirement via his personal Twitter account Friday.
The outfielder played 294 games over parts of five seasons in the big leagues, though only six of those games had come since 2013. He'll retire with a career .273/.318/.347 line, adding eight homers and 47 steals. The 33-year-old will take up a coaching position in the Yankees' organization.

Orioles' Julio Borbon: Returns to Double-A
Borbon was assigned to Double-A Bowie, Jon Meoli of the Baltimore Sun reports.
Borbon has spent most of the 2016 campaign at Bowie, where he owns a line of .275/.336/.362. However, he made two brief stints with Baltimore over the course of the season. During his limited action with the big club, he went 4-for-13 with three strikeouts over six games.

Orioles' Julio Borbon: Designated for assignment
Borbon was designated for assignment Sunday, Jon Meoli of the Baltimore Sun reports.
Borbon's stint with the club was short-lived, as he was recalled Saturday as a late replacement for Adam Jones, who continues to deal with a hamstring injury. Rather than keep Borbon around another day, the club decided they were satisfied with the remaining members of their bench, and instead opted to bolster the depth of their bullpen.

Orioles' Julio Borbon: Recalled from Bowie, starting Saturday
Borbon has been recalled from Double-A Bowie and is in the lineup Saturday against the Yankees, Brittany Ghiroli of MLB.com reports.
With Adam Jones battling a strained hamstring, Borbon will come up to add depth to the outfield for the time being. The 30-year-old has appeared in only five games for Baltimore on the year, spending the bulk of the year at Double-A, where he holds a .275/.336/.362 slash line. Borbon will bat ninth in the order and man center field Saturday. In a corresponding move, Mike Wright was optioned to Triple-A Norfolk to clear a spot on the 25-man roster.

Orioles' Julio Borbon: Outrighted to Double-A Bowie
Borbon will report to Double-A Bowie after getting outrighted Friday, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
Borbon was DFA'd on Tuesday after spending a week with the Orioles. The outfielder will be taken off the 40-man roster and go back to Bowie, where he has spent 83 games this season, before his contract was selected by Baltimore. The 30-year-old could get another chance with the club later on this season, but didn't get much time on the field during his brief time in the big leagues.

Orioles' Julio Borbon: DFA'd by Orioles
Borbon was designated for assignment on Tuesday.
With Ubaldo Jimenez returning from the paternity list on Tuesday, the Orioles needed to clear a roster spot and opted to do so by DFA'ing Borbon. Borbon's primary value to the Orioles was as a left-handed outfielder, but Hyun-Soo Kim's return nullified his role almost entirely. Borbon will now be subject to waivers, but he could return to the Orioles' organization if he goes unclaimed.

Orioles' Julio Borbon: Has contract selected
Borbon's contract was selected by the Orioles on Tuesday.
Last seeing major league action in 2013, the once-promising Borbon has finally made his way back after posting a .289/.353/.373 batting line with 20 stolen bases and five home runs at Double-A Bowie. He'll replace Hyun-Soo Kim (hamstring) on the 25-man roster following Kim's placement on the disabled list, but still has multiple outfielders (Joey Rickard and Nolan Reimold) to contend with for playing time.

Orioles' Julio Borbon: Signs minor league deal with Orioles
Borbon signed a minor league contract with the Orioles on Friday and will report to minor league camp, Roch Kubatko of MASN reports.
Borbon's last major league action came with the Rangers in 2014 and he has since spent two seasons at Triple-A Norfolk in the Orioles' organization. One would think he waited this long to re-sign with Baltimore because he wanted a team more likely to give him a shot at the majors, but the Orioles' struggles with outfield depth could open a door that had remained closed during the 30-year-old's tenure with the organization.
